The Faith-Fueled Journey of a Christian Author
The Story Behind Tommy’s Stories
Finding Strength Through Faith
It was through arduous trials that my Christian faith truly flourished. Initially, the devastating loss of my first wife, after three decades of blissful companionship, deeply shook the foundations of my heart. Our three children, venturing into new chapters of their lives as they started their own families, provided light amid this sorrow. God still had many paths of joy and sadness for me to travel. He blessed me with a second wife of sixteen years before cancer took her away. A third loving wife, late in life, was lost to a sudden stroke. It threw me into a tumultuous sea of questions, testing the very essence of my faith.
As I faced the loss of my beloved wives, my unwavering faith in Jesus Christ became my anchor. Family, friends and my church family provided solace and support throughout the ups and downs, guiding me through the darkest moments. The power of prayer and deep immersion in Bible study sustained me, allowing my Christian faith to mature and deepen.
Captivating Novels and Meaningful Prayers
Drawing from my experiences and spirituality, I've published two compelling Christian novels: Sarah and Islands. These stories explore the triumph of the human spirit and the transformative power of faith. I am currently working on two more books. I compose prayers for my church that are printed in the Sunday bulletin, posted on the church website, and shared on our Meta page. They are my letters to God.
Contributing to the Community
My dedication to serving others is reflected in my volunteer work within various organizations and activities. I served on my church’s board of trustees for six years. I was on the board of directors for the only not-for-profit Hospice serving ten counties in my area, Hospice Brazos Valley. I have been a volunteer for Hospice for over twenty-eight years and continue to work for and support this Hospice.
